Waterbucks (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) have large sebaceous glands that make their coat oily and musky smelling. Only the males have horns. These are the most water-dependent of all the antelopes. This limits the animal to grasslands and patchy bush areas near water. Its diet consists of browse high in protein content which helps to account for their high water needs.
