The Savannah Baboon (Papio cynocephalus) is a large terrestrial monkey with a doglike head. The males are two times larger than the females. They also have massive teeth with razor sharp canines. Like other Cercopithecidae Family members, they have cheek pouches which allow them to store food quickly for consumption at a later time. They also have ischial callosities for protection against lengthy sitting.
