"Splendor in the Grass!"
The Yellow-necked Spurfowl (Francolinus leucoscepus) is a chicken-like, terrestrial, game bird. It is a resident of open bush country and savannah grasslands in East Africa. It is a shy, retiring bird, but has a noisy call. It is especially vocal in early morning and near dusk.
