"Two Heads are Better Than One?"
The Giraffe's long legs enable it to reach 35 miles per hour with its neck providing a pendulum momentum. If they are ever cornered, their kick is capable of decapitating a lion. Its great size discourages predators, and a single lion will rarely attack an adult. The only time they are vulnerable is as a calf or when the neck is lowered to feed or drink.
