"Gentle Eyes"
The Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla) is the largest primate. The shape and wrinkles of the nose are distinct and as individual as fingerprints. The massive jaws contain large muscles and robust teeth adapted for its fibrous diet. Only the males have sharp canines, however. The subspecies Mountain Gorilla (G. g. beringei) is the hairiest race. This is a necessary adaptation for a habitat that can drop to below freezing at night.
