"A Little Worse for Wear"
The Spotted Hyena (Crocuta crocuta) is the largest and most common hyena species. It is also the most numerous large carnivore on the savannahs. It is a true carnivore that seldom eats vegetables or fruit. It eats everything of its prey but the rumen (of ungulates) and the horn bosses, while others waste about 40% of their kills. No other predator uses their prey so efficiently.
